The classic route up the main path of Snowdon from Llanberis to the summit, this run is iconic as it follows the same route as the Snowdon International Mountain Race. There are many other routes, of course, which vary in length and technicality, and then there’s the train which can be taken up or down. Out of season is, without doubt, the best time to run here, as during the summer it does get busy with leisure and charity walkers. However, do not underestimate Snowdon. It is a high and exposed mountain with changeable and extreme weather further up and, should you get into difficulty or stray from the path in poor visibility, consequences can be serious. From A4086 through Llanberis run up Victoria Terrace to follow Llanberis Path to summit and back.
