Deadwater Fell

This run follows the waymarked out-and-back Forestry Commission trail to the summit of Deadwater Fell.
Leave the car park/visitor centre on the trail to the south of the Forest Road, bearing L to cross the road and climbing up through Castle Wood. Bear R then turn L and follow the trail past Ravenhill, turning R up Lightpipe Sike then L into Skelly’s Riggin Wood. Take the sharp R here and continue uphill and out of the forest onto Ravenshill Moor. Follow this track uphill and around the R side of the summit before curving around and reaching it from the north. Return the same way or pick up one of the forest trail maps and explore the network of forest trails.
