This run follows the canal path for the whole length of the Crinan Canal and is described from Crinan to Ardrishaig, but it is also a great run in the opposite direction.
Follow the canal path east along the shore of Loch Crinan, crossing the first bridge and continuing along the southern side before re-crossing with the B8025. Turn R and stay on the northern bank, heading south-east past the parking at Dundary Locks and through Cairnbaan to the B841. Cross and stay on the northern bank, heading south-east along the towpath past Lochgilphead, and then following the A83 south to the finish.
