Coire Lagan, Skye
Distance: 5.5 miles (8.5km)
Ascent: 584 metres
Start/Finish: Glen Brittle campsite, IV47 8TA
Begin by running through the campsite to the beach side of the shop then following the path onto the mountainside. Continue to head east at the first path junction and then bear L at the next one, heading into Coire Lagan. Continue up the valley to the small lochan. Run around this clockwise then return on the outbound path. This time bear R at the fork, taking the path north of Loch an Fhir-bhallaich to the hill above the Eas Mor waterfall on the Allt Coire na Banachdich. Continue west to the road at Glenbrittle House. Turn L onto the road and back to the start.
An excellent extension here is to run up onto the Cuillin Ridge and, with good weather and mountain skills, traverse north to Sligachan.
