Turn R out of the library car park and then R onto Cowl Lane, L on High Street then R onto Castle Street. Follow this to a R turn off the road onto a footpath heading south-east across parkland and joining the waymarked Windrush Way. Follow this past Sudeley Castle and south roughly following the Beesmoor Brook to a junction with a byway at SP 034258 (1.9 miles/3.1km). Turn R on the byway to Newmeadow Farm then L onto a track, turn R at the junction then L by Humblebee Cottages to reach a road. Turn R on the road and follow it to a L onto the Cotswold Way. Follow this through woodland then uphill across a field to Belas Knap (4 miles/6.4km). Follow the path R then turn R at the junction with a track, leave the Cotswold Way and follow the track north past Hill Barn Farm joining a road to a T junction at SP 019262 (5.2 miles/8.3km). Turn L at the junction onto the Cotswold Way and head north across fields to Winchcombe and the start.
